Hanover city - general information
Hannover is the capital of the german state Niedersachsen. The city has a population of 520.000 citizens and an area of 204.14 km². The lord mayor of the town is Stefan Schostock and he has to take care of 13 departments with 52 neighborhoods of Hannover. Widely known for being an education city Hannover has six universities and is one of the fifteen most important cities in Germany.
